A little bit about me…

Hello and welcome!

I’m Rose, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and Certified Infant Massage Instructor based in Coulsdon and Mummy to two beautiful children who ignited my own passion for breastfeeding, breastfeeding support and the power of nurturing touch.

My experiences in breastfeeding my own children and navigating challenges and complexities of issues such as tongue tie, slow weight gain and natural term weaning, lead me to train as a breastfeeding peer supporter with my local NHS Infant Feeding Team whilst on maternity leave with my youngest. I went on to volunteer as a peer supporter at local feeding drop ins and then virtually, when the Covid 19 pandemic hit.

This experience led to a change of career path and I started a role as Infant Feeding Support Worker in a busy postnatal ward in an NHS trust. My passion for the work I was doing and a strong desire to further my knowledge led to me completing 95 hours of lactation education and gaining a certificate with the Centre for Breastfeeding Research and Education in 2023.

By the beginning of 2025, my work within the NHS across both maternity and health visiting settings provided me with over 1000 hours of clinical practice supporting families directly with infant feeding. This education and experience allowed me to sit the International Board Certified Lactation Consultant examination in April 2025.

My interest in baby massage and the power of nurturing touch has grown from working closely with families in these early months of parenthood, and seeing the numerous positive benefits massage has for both the well being of the baby and the parent. I recently trained with the International Association of Infant Massage and am now a certified infant massage instructor allowing me to share my passion through teaching you how to massage your little ones.

The Gentle Nest aims to create a nurturing space where parents feel held, heard, and empowered whether that be in your feeding journey, learning baby massage or a combination of the two🌿💕
